Hello and welcome to North Eastern Steam's Website. Here you will find information about the episodes, the engines and background knowledge of the series.

North Eastern Steam, is a series on youtube, filmed on my OO gauge layout to depict the North Eastern Region of British Railways from 1947-1963, so as well as showing the Brunswick Green era, we shall see the end of the LNER and it's transition into British Railways.

In this series we will look at what life was like on the North Eastern Region. We shall visit areas such as a country station on the ECML and see life at a large Motive Power Depot where many pacifics were housed, plus many other areas.

North Eastern Steam shall also dedicate episodes to certain classes of locomotive, such as the Gresley, Thompson and Peppercorn Pacfics, engines that really worked the express loads on the Eastern and North Eastern Regions!
